BEDN #2: Favorite Songs (top four)

Hello all! For today's post, I'm gonna tell you my FAVE songs at the moment :D enjoy! (They are in no particular order by the way)

1. On Danse by M. Pokora
I had to make a presentation on a French song for French class, and I just randomly chose a song off of the top 100 in France download list, and I happened upon this song. I like it's cheery fun-ness. It's apparently like a brand new song too...

2. Chandelier by Sia
I'm a bit behind the times with this song, but I just started listening to it, and I love it!

3. Unpack Your Heart by Phillip Phillips
My best friend introduced me to this song, and it reminds me of home when I listen to it :) <3

4. Rather Be by Clean Bandit
I dunno, I heard it on the radio, and I liked it...

Alright, sorry for the kinda boring post for today. Tomorrow I have winter guard tryouts in the afternoon after band rehearsal, so I can write about how that goes tomorrow. Should be more interesting...

Thanks <3

Moving Vlog

Finally getting this video up. . . Wow, I am such a slacker. It took me TWO WHOLE WEEK.

Well, I've finally finished editing and uploading my moving vlog. I feel kinda bad because I didn't really film a lot of it either. Life has been kinda sorta a little bit crazy, so I didn't have a lot of time to film or edit.
I hope you enjoy it anyways!

Also, I'm working on the Liebster blogger award, so that should be coming out soon :D

Moving Day!!!

Ohhh no. . . I hope I haven't forgotten anything important! But, I guess its time to go!!

Hey guys!! Today is moving day and this morning has been quite the hassle! We finished up the loading of the UHaul Truck, and I did some last minute box-stuffing. It feels very strange, because my room still has quite a bit of stuff in it. We aren't leaving this house for good, because I'll be back for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Besides, the apartment couldn't possibly carry all the junk I've been collecting over the years :P

Anyhow, I'm kind of excited to get there. That way we can actually enroll in school, and then I'll feel like I belong somewhere. I'm just SOOO tired from all the box carrying and stuff.

Well, that's about it. If you wanna keep up with like how moving is going in video form I want to keep like documenting the trip on camera so, you can go to my YouTube channel to find those videos, but they might not be up for a while.
Sorry the picture got flattened in the uploading process, I'm not usually that pudgy. . .

Vlogcation Fail

Hey Hey Hey!!
Well I just uploaded my first vlog. It was kind of an epic fail because 1) it's my first one 2) there isn't a thumbnail and 3) I had to chuck it onto movie maker, then quickly upload it, cuz I needed to free up space on my camera to film more stuff...
And it's basically two days worth of driving...

Anyway: I'm having some technical difficulties so the best I can do now is just have a link on a word so...

... To see the video

Please don't laugh at me :P and ENJOY!!

Lets be FRIENDS

Hello there, Wanna be friends?

I'm in a really strange mood right now. I guess it's kind of self explanatory since I AM sitting on the car with no one else here... and typing up a blog post. We are leaving for a family vacation in Texas sometime soon. Although, in our family, we say we'll leave at 12 pm and we'll actually leave at 2 in the afternoon :P
I'm planning on filming this trip so I can add it to my YouTube channel: TheLexis
Yeah the only two videos on there right now aren't what'll usually be on there. They were both school projects.

Well, that's about it. Talk to ya later :D

Au Revoir!

March Favorites 2014

OH MY!!! It's already April 3rd?? Sorry for not posting this sooner! I've just been sooooo busy. With my final presentation being less than a week away, things have gotten a little cray around here. For example, this weekend, my parents are going to Chicago, so I will have to work extra hard to stay on track :P

Well lets get a move on to the favorites:

YouTube Channels:
These are more like "every month" favorites because I literally can't live with out watching their videos:
PointlessBlog- AKA Alfie Deyes. He makes really funny and entertaining videos that I can watch on a bad day and it will cheer me up C:
Zoella- AKA Zoe Sugg. Zoe is a beautiful beauty guru on YouTube, and she is SO inspiring!! She not only makes beauty videos, she also makes fun ones. Watching her videos always makes me so happy :)
SprinkleOfGlitter- AKA Louise. (Sorry Louise! I dont know your last name...) But she and Zoella are like BFFS and she has the cutest daughter. Louise shows me that you can be both a grown adult with a child and still have fun! It's really inspiring to see how much there is to life with Louise <3

So that list was only scratching the surface of people I watch. I will probably continue listing them in future "monthly favorites" posts.

Products:
EXPO Markers- I recently bought a pack of expo markers. They're the thin kind with lots of bright colors and they make me SO HAPPY! It's kind of an obsession. . . The bright colors are soooo cool, so I will write anything and everything on my white board with them. I even drew a birthday picture for my mom with them :3
TY Beanie Ballz- They are the cutest little stuffed animals EVAHHHH!!!!! My sister recently got me the unicorn one as an "early birthday present" (My birthday isnt till June).
Valspar Paint- We recently painted the kitchen yellow, and I thought the paint was just DANDY!

Food:
Cheez-Its- and all time favorite junk food of mine whether its the normal kind or the White Cheddar kind. (but I definitely do NOT like spicy!)
Apples and Peanut Butter- Quick, delish, healthy snack ;)

Events:
SPRING BREAK- a week of bliss, before having to plunge back into school.
Ben's Birthday- My brother turned 11!!! He is SO big now. I can remember when he was just a little tot.
Mom's Birthday- My mother also had her birthday!! I made a beautiful picture using my new expo markers, but Emma made fun of it :( We also go to eat fruit tart :)  <3 you mom!!

Sorry, if March's Favorites seemed kind of pathetic. March was a pretty pathetic dreary month. All it was was homework and a week long break in which I got nothing accomplished.

Thanks for reading!! Byeeeee :D

Reliving the Past

So, today I was supposedly doing my math homework in my room. Actually I was watching a vlog of Joey Graceffa on YouTube (his latest one of PlayList live. one of the YouTube conventions I one day plan on attending :P) Here it is if you want to watch:

So anyhow, as I was watching this video, I was desperately wishing that I wasn't stuck in this snowy, depressing weather with a buttload of homework due in the next like three months. Then for some reason, I started thinking about like middle school n'stuff. THEN. . . I remembered that before Elinor started her second blog, she had to have a first!! So then I text her:

Me Elinor
creepy and random question, but is ur old blog still up?

Yeah. . . musicgirl-elinor.blogspot.com

So naturally, I headed over to take a look. Oh my goodness. It was like a #TBT on a Monday and in someone else's shoes. I could just imagine fetus Elinor tapping away at her computer. (By "fetus" I mean baby fifth/sixth grade Elinor :P) It's really quite insightful to read bits of your best friend's past that you knew nothing about. Call me creepy or stalker or whatever, but it was so cool to see her change just through what she wrote on her blog!

(*side note: Elinor, if you're reading this, please don't think I'm a crazy creeper!!)
(*side note number 2: But I guess you DID put it on the internet for the world to see...)

Well anyway, I found this post about volunteering, but the first bit was actually about an awards ceremony we had in seventh grade?? Most likely. She wrote that my parents were there and that they were so nice and that she felt bad for me because my mom fawned over her grades more than mine. Quite honestly, I don't even remember this whole incident, but Elinor, don't feel bad. My mother fawns over everyone!! :) She also called my mother and I "nice". That's so sweet! I've never really thought of my self as such. THANK YOU!

So anyway, I had this great long speech in my head that I was going to post, but it seems that that speech has given me the slip. I have no idea what I was going to say, but I think I've covered the main gist of it. I don't feel like this post would be in anyway useful to anyone, but I thought I just had to put it out there so I did. Thanks for reading!! :)

Bored Bored Bored

Why hello there. I am bored. Wonder why? Well, it is because today we had yet another snow day. Surprise!! So anywho...

I guess I should work on homework and get at least a bit of my to do list out of the way... But I need to keep up with my procrastination history!! That is why, instead of being productive, I am writing a pointless blog.

Speaking of PointlessBlog (:P), I have been hanging out on Youtube for a good chunk of my morning. I also baked some brownies. They were and are delicious ;) Thank you, mommy, for buying lots of brownie mix :D P.S. If you don't know who PointlessBlog is, go look him up on Youtube. He makes funny videos on there.

Its that time of the year for registering for classes for next year. (that was a lot of "for"s) I am having difficulty fitting everything in... :( I want to do SO MUCH! Yet we get so little space to sign up for what we want... Its quite depressing, especially for people like me, whose social life lies almost entirely at school. High school is supposed to be a place where you can try all sorts of different things, but I'm stuck here with limited time for trying those things. Oh well, this is life.

After writing all of that, I realize I have wasted alot of time for not very much. Thats alright though, I still have the afternoon ahead of me! I hope all ya'll are having a nice day, whether or not you are in school, and thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this Random Rant.

Inspiration

So, as a first, non-introductory post, I feel that I should write WHY I would start a blog. So... Here goes:

I started a blog for quite a few reasons. One would definitely be the 5 snow days in a row that we've had now, especially since they're right after winter break. I have not been to school in almost three weeks, leaving me trapped at home in a circle of boredom. Because of this never ending boredom, I watch a lot of YouTube. YouTube intrigues me, but that is another post for another day. One YouTuber in particular really interests me. ZOELLA. She also has her own blog and I wanted to try one out!

But the most important reason of all must come from one of my bestest of friends, ElinOr Rigby. (That is a nickname and the name of her blog. To check it out go to this link : http://writingmagic26.blogspot.com/). I've read some of her blog posts and I must say they're funny and great! Her blog has inspired me to start my own. I met her four years ago when she moved here to Missouri. She has a version of the day we met in school on her blog. Its of her perspective of that day. It was interesting to see what she thought of our conversations and I want to share my point of view here.

To preface this story, I must inform you all that I used to be very quiet with nearly no friends. Before you go feeling sorry for me, I have to say that it suited me quite well. After all, being the socially awkward person I am, it was easier to just be by my self on the playground/ at school. When I went to middle school, though, I decided I was going to change and actually make friends. Especially my two best friends from elementary school were going to a different middle school than me. In sixth grade I made friends with another of my best friends in class, but in seventh grade, we got put on different teams. I was so sad, because I wouldn't be able to talk to her all day or see her very much. So once again, I had to make new friends. That's when E-Chan (another nickname) comes into the story. We were in PE on one of the first days of school, and we were running out side on the track. I don't remember exactly when/how we started to talk, but according to E-Chan's version of the story, she told me she just needed bigger lungs to run better, and I agreed. I do remember her saying something of the sort, but I don't remember what I had thought of that statement... But anyways, we just started up a conversation. I asked her where she was from. To me she was obviously a new kid because I'd lived here for my ENTIRE LIFE, and knew pretty much who everyone was. So, back to the point, she told me she had come from NY and explained her situation. Her dad was here with her, but her mom was still in NY doing something important. So, again, being the awkward person I am, I asked "Do you miss your mom?" As soon as this left my mouth I thought Oh no... what an insensitive thing to say!! So to make up for this blunder, I immediately told her a story of when my mom had went to Taiwan when I was in 5th grade, and how I had missed my mother. I had hoped that by doing this she wouldn't find it embarrassing to answer my question... I thought that I may have overdone it though considering I had been the only one talking for a good 10 minutes. Inside my head was a flurry of thoughts wondering if I had just messed up my chance to find a friend for the rest of the year... But to my surprise, she answered with "Yeah, I do miss her" I was so RELIEVED!! In the years to come, I found that E-Chan was quite an interesting person. Smart, fun, and inspiring. She was and is someone I want to be more like. I had never had a friend that I could constantly talk to everyday. And now, I've been friends with her for 4 years. I know now that we'll be friends for ever!

So if you have survived this massive blogpost, I congratulate you on your success. I just had to tell this story because it is important to me. That day in PE literally changed my life, and I didn't even know it. I want to say a massive thank you to E-Chan for all the things she's done for me :D
