Dear Valentine's Day Haters...

Since yesterday was Valentine's day, I felt I needed to put in my own little bit of love to the internet.

I'm a bit socially awkward, so Valentine's day came and went almost like any other day. Normally for Valentine's day, I buy those candy Valentines from Target and hand them to all of my friends. Problem is, this year I am completely broke and I didn't have the time to stop by a store to buy any candy anyways. (I'm sorry friends! I promise I love you!!!)

I've also noticed that one thing has been running rampant on the internet. VALENTINE'S DAY HATIN'!! The claim is that "You shouldn't only love your significant other/ loved ones for only ONE day out of the whole year"

While I understand that love shouldn't be reserved for only ONE DAY, I personally think that it's a ready wrapped excuse to waste money on ridiculous amounts of sweets and to spoil other people with copious levels of happiness. Most people only have the time or money to do this once a year. On a normal day, you can "love" people. There's nothing stopping you. Valentine's is for extreme shows of affection.

Anyways. I was just getting tired of people hatin' on showing lots of love and Valentine's day.

I hope you had a wonderful February 14th and that you were surrounded by people you love and that you were extremely happy.

Travel Tid-Bits

Right before winter break, I took the time and the effort to take pretty pictures of stuff so that I might write a blog post about it. Then I went and left my laptop at home.
(cue applause)

So, I've decided I'll do a post with those pictures since I already put in the effort anyway. Enjoy!

I have a slight obsession with nail polish. I like to change it up every couple of hours (no exaggeration there) So, naturally I brought about a gajillion bottles of the stuff with me to St.Louis. Not that you would really need this many bottles of nail polish to last you two weeks.

Here's another shot of my beautiful nail polishes. I told you I have an obsession. Notice also I added my remover here too because I realized that you'd need the remover so that you can change your mind as often as I do.

Here we have a makeup bag. I thought I would be sophisticated and bring along makeup to wear to fancy parties. Yeah I used it maybe once or twice the whole two weeks. But I still insist it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!!!

Ah, finally, a USEFUL thing. I actually used this almost every day! One can not live with out hand-sanitizers. I kept this one from Bath and Body Works on my key-chain. THIS STUFF SMELLS FREAKING AMAZING.

Alright, well that's all I really had pictures of. I figured a picture of every single thing I brought to Missouri would be extremely dull, so there you have it. The few most dullest things from my collection :D

Christmas

My my my,it's been a busy week. (Well, I say it's been a long week, but really I haven't really done anything too important)

Anyways seeing as it's Christmas at the mo, I thought it's share a bit about my Christmas with you.

For presents, I received a wonderful onesie and apair of fuzzy socks from my siblings. I also got some make up and some nail polishes from my aunt. Finally, my dad got us the just dance Wii games. It was wonderful.

even though it was Christmas today, wwe didn't do anything too special. We opened persons of course, but other than that, I painted our bathroom walls a bit, and watched awhile but load of YouTube videos.

I'm Sorry I'd this post was kinda short and choppy, but being the wonderfully intelligent and responsible young lady i am, I managed to leave my laptop at home, so I won't have it for the next week and a half.

I hope you had a good Christmas.

Christmas Math

Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri,  I've learned that there are supposed to be four distinct seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Or Autumn. Whatever.

Therefore, the equations to the division of these seasons are as follows:

Cold+Ice+Snow=Winter
Rain+Warmth+Humidity= Spring
Heat+Sun= Summer
Cool+Falling Leaves= Fall/Autumn

So According to these equations, Cold+Ice+Snow=Winter

I also know that Winter=Christmas=Happy=U=Presents=Holidays(if Christmas offends you, although I have no idea why an excuse to put off work longer would offend you.)

Being in Texas raises an issue to this mathematical phenomenon. See if Cold+Snow=Winter=Christmas=Happy=U=Presents then we can't have Christmas. It is in the mid sixties for temperature. That is not Cold, therefore it is not Winter or Happy or Christmas or U or Presents.

So when someone sings "Where are U Christmas? Why can I find U?" It's because it is too warm and there is no Snow. Or even Ice.

But, Christmas could be totally dependent on something other than the weather. What would I know? I suck at math AND I have no social life.

What do you think?

Thankful

Here I am, a week 'n a half after the ACTUAL Thanksgiving day. . . writing a Thanksgiving post.

I am thankful for a lot of things, so Imma just hop right into this!

1. Friends- I miss my old friends so much, but they're still a part of my life through facebook or instagram or skype and even good old fashioned phone calls. I'm also grateful for new friends too. Like with out my new guard buddies or classmates, I would be such a LONER...

2. Siblings- Being in a new place, like now, has made me really appreciate how much I actually love my siblings. I'm not able to hang out with friends as much, and Emma and Ben have been there to keep me company (even though they do annoy the crap outta me sometimes)

3. Parents- My parents are amazing, strong people. For some reason, I spend alot of time arguing with them, but I really am thankful for all they do for me.

4. Ice Cream- If not for ice cream, I would not be alive today. 'Nuff said.

What are you thankful for (even though it's wayyyy past Thanksgiving?)

Lets be FRIENDS

Hello there, Wanna be friends?

I'm in a really strange mood right now. I guess it's kind of self explanatory since I AM sitting on the car with no one else here... and typing up a blog post. We are leaving for a family vacation in Texas sometime soon. Although, in our family, we say we'll leave at 12 pm and we'll actually leave at 2 in the afternoon :P
I'm planning on filming this trip so I can add it to my YouTube channel: TheLexis
Yeah the only two videos on there right now aren't what'll usually be on there. They were both school projects.

Well, that's about it. Talk to ya later :D

Au Revoir!

Back to school. Again.

Well, today marks the end of spring break 2014. I have to admit that it wasn't too spectacular. I feel as if I've spent most of my time just sorta puttering around my house with no real purpose. The rest of the time was really spent on stuff that I didn't imagine doing over spring break. For example we painted the kitchen. A LONG and gruesome three day process that left our kitchen looking rather war torn, but brighter and happier none-the-less.

I really don't want to go back to school. I miss my friends, I miss some of my, classes. I even miss some of my teachers, but I definitely do NOT miss the work load that comes with taking all the classes that I take. I'm hoping that by April 9th my life will be together, because that is the day of my final presentation. For ALAR/P students like me, that means that is pretty much the last day of torture. After that is easy cruising to the end of the school year. At least that's the way it is for me.

As of right now, I THINK I have just finished editing an essay due tomorrow. I'm supposed to upload it to turnitin.com but quite honestly I'm slightly scared to do so. I am absolute trash at writing conclusions, introductions, and commentary. So pretty much, I suck at writing essays.

Also, living in St. Louis, Missouri can also be a chore, because we have what we call "bipolar weather". Take for instance, this past week: Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous- 70 degree sunny day. Perfect for a stroll in the park. Today was still sunny, but freezing outside. The temperature peaked at like 45 degrees flat. This coming week, its supposed to get slightly warmer, but sometimes rainy sometimes not. It is nearly April. It should be a solid 65 degrees out side everyday!!!

I guess, at the end of this rather pointless rant, school is still barreling its way towards me and I have accomplished nothing. I'm very sorry if you're very disappointed to have not found anything worth reading or meaningful in any way whatsoever.

But thanks for stopping by! :)

Happy Valentines Day!!

Hello Everyone!

Today is Valentines day! (Otherwise known as #foreveralone day) I hope everyone today felt loved <3

I know I certainly did, but not just because they gave me candy :P If love was based on receiving or giving candy, I think that life would be missing something.

Well, this is a short post, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Happy Valentine's Day!
